What this place is
RG Source for Hockey’s Romeoville store, a hockey and figure skating shop at the Canlan Sports Romeoville address; the other store is in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
RG Source for Hockey Romeoville
RG Source for Hockey’s Romeoville store shares its Normantown Road address with the Canlan Sports rink, and its hours follow the ice: it opens in the late afternoon on weekdays and early on weekends, when games and practices fill the building. The company’s other store is in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Its sharpening menu is one of the clearest in the area. Hockey players choose between a machine sharpening and the RG Pro, finished by hand with a flat-bottom V option and an edge-level check, and figure skaters get hand sharpening with a premium tier for Paramount and side-honed blades. Packs of five and fifteen bring the price down for players who skate every week.
RG suggests booking an appointment, and says to call ahead in the quieter months. Rocket Ice in Bolingbrook is about five miles north-east.
