Skate Sharpening at OhioHealth Chiller Easton
Chiller Easton is the Chiller’s two-rink building on the east side, near Easton Town Center. The Easton Youth Hockey Association, the Northeast Storm and high school teams from Gahanna, Pickerington, Reynoldsburg and Westerville all play here, and skates for the Chiller’s sharpening service can be left at its front desk, the same as at the other Chiller rinks.
The person behind the service spent about thirty years as an equipment manager with the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Columbus Chill, and the Chiller presents it as hockey sharpening. Easton is also home to central Ohio’s short track speedskating club; speed skaters should not assume the service handles their long blades and should ask at the desk first.
Anyone who buys skates at the DICK’S store at Easton Gateway, about a mile away, can have that pair looked after where it was bought, and Pure Hockey’s New Albany store is a few miles further east for hockey equipment.
