Keegs Sharpening is a small sharpening shop inside The Battery Hockey Academy building in Plain City, on the north-west edge of the metro, run by a sharpener with more than twenty years of work on edges. It takes hockey players and figure skaters alike, and sharpening is booked online for a set time slot.

The service pages explain the method in some detail: hockey blades are finished with a fine stone and a wax pass and then honed on a leather strap, and figure blades get particular care around the toe pick and the heel. That makes it a sensible choice for a figure skater who wants a sharpener to treat a freestyle blade differently from a hockey runner.

OhioHealth Chiller Dublin is about two miles away, so a session there and a sharpening slot here fit into the same trip. Book ahead before a test or a tournament weekend.

Sharpens: hockey, figure. Not stated: goalie, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
