Never Made It Pro Stock is a family-run hockey shop in Pickerington, on the south-east side of the metro. It deals in pro stock gear: equipment built to the specs of college and professional players and sold on from team allotments, from Ohio State and Bowling Green to NHL clubs.
Because each piece was made for a particular player, stock changes constantly and most items are one of a kind, so it rewards a visit with an open mind rather than a shopping list. The shop also keeps new and used skate steel, which helps a player who needs a spare runner without paying for a new pair of skates.
Pro stock skates are cut for someone else’s feet, so try them on with the socks you play in and walk around before you buy, since sales are final. OhioHealth Chiller Easton is the nearest indoor rink, about twelve miles north-west.
