What this place is
Pure Hockey’s Westerville store near Polaris, formerly Perani’s Hockey World, which Pure Hockey bought in April 2026.
Pure Hockey Westerville
This store near Polaris was Perani’s Hockey World until Pure Hockey bought the Perani’s chain in April 2026, and it is now changing over to the Pure Hockey name, so older photos and some signs may still say Perani’s. Perani’s was a family hockey business started in Michigan in 1976, and Pure Hockey says the same staff stay on through the change.
It is the closest hockey shop to the Chiller’s northern rinks: Chiller Ice Works is about two miles away and Chiller North under three. The chain lists it as a limited goalie location, so goalies who want a wide choice of gear should try the Sawmill Place store instead.
As the store moves to Pure Hockey, the chain says fitting and blade profiling are part of what it offers here, which is worth knowing for a player who wants a new radius on a pair. Ask about it at the counter when you drop skates off.
Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
