What this place is
A family-owned business in Frisco that sharpens and profiles skates.
Dull Blades is a small family-owned sharpening business in Frisco that works on skates by arrangement rather than from a storefront, and it describes its focus as the art of sharpening and profiling skates for all types of skaters.
It sits between Children’s Health StarCenter McKinney, under three miles away, and Comerica Center in Frisco, about four and a half, which makes it a convenient option for families who skate at either rink and want a sharpener close to home.
Profiling, which reshapes the curve of a blade along its length, is the service it names alongside sharpening, and it is worth asking about if a pair feels unsteady. Book ahead rather than turning up unannounced, since there is no shop door to walk through.
Sharpens: hockey, profiling / contouring. Not stated: goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
