What this place is
Pure Hockey’s Sterling Heights store; its page carries the April 2026 announcement that Pure Hockey bought Perani’s Hockey World.
Pure Hockey Sterling Heights
Pure Hockey’s Sterling Heights store, on Van Dyke Avenue, is one of the Perani’s Hockey World stores the chain bought in April 2026, as its store page announces. It sits between the Oakland County rinks around Troy and the Macomb County rinks to the east.
The staff here came over from Perani’s, and Pure Hockey says the store now offers the chain’s full skate service. Big Boy Arena in Fraser is about four miles away and Buffalo Wild Wings Arena in Troy a little further, and B&R Sports has a pro shop inside each.
The chain can text you when your skates are sharpened, which helps on busy weekend mornings; give the staff your usual hollow when you hand them in.
Sharpens: profiling / contouring. Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
Skates for sale
Hockey equipment, with a limited range of goalie gear.
Fitting & heat molding
Skate fitting, sharpening and profiling, which Pure Hockey says the former Perani’s stores now offer.
Repairs
Skates fixed at the store’s service center.
