IJsvereniging de Hare: a modern natural-ice rink at Sportpark Zuid in Aalten, with a traffic light for skaters

Public skating at IJsvereniging de Hare: the next 7 days

Currently out of season IJsvereniging de Hare's natural-ice rink at Bocholtsestraatweg 67A in Aalten is closed for now: the club's home page last posts an update from Sunday 11 January saying it closed the rink after a fantastic day of skating, and its news page lists nothing newer. The Openingstijden page gives the hours for when the weather allows (Monday to Friday 14:00 to 21:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 to 21:00); the page's traffic light decides when skating is on. Membership registration for season 2026/2027 closes on 14 October. No sessions are listed here. Checked 11 October 2026. Official schedule update

A natural-ice rink on the Sportpark Zuid in Aalten, laid out in 2018 and run since 1980

IJsvereniging de Hare has existed since 11 October 1980 and works every winter for skating fans from Aalten and the surrounding area. When there is enough frost it has a modern natural-ice rink at Bocholtsestraatweg 67A, on the multifunctional Sportpark Zuid that was laid out in 2018.

The club's website uses a traffic light: when it is green, skating goes ahead according to the opening hours. Its message to members is to get their skates out of the grease in good time, because the club would most like to see them on its natural-ice rink.

The club posts its ice updates on its home page and news page, including the closing notice after a day of skating in January 2026, and thanks everyone who came and hopes to see them soon on the ice again.
