Municipal ice hall for up to 500 people; the Amstettner Wölfe opened a shooting area for juniors in 2025
Currently out of season The hall's own page says it opens again on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 14:00 and lists the winter 2026|2027 tariffs, but the weekly public skating times shown there are still last winter's February grid. The 2026/27 opening times are not posted yet. Official schedule update
The Eishalle Amstetten is managed by the AVB Kultur & Freizeit GmbH and has room for up to 500 people. Trainers of the Amstettner Wölfe teach the skating training, and the hall offers public skating, hockey training and skating courses. The hall is a central piece of infrastructure for Amstetten's clubs, youth sport and school pupils.
In November 2025 the ECU Amstettner Wölfe opened the Sparkassen Shooting Area in a part of the hall that had been unused. Synthetic ice panels let the puck glide almost as on real ice, and in three training zones young players work on shooting and stickhandling under their coaches. The Wölfe have been among the most active youth clubs of the region for years, and many of the most talented Amstetten children also train in youth programmes in Linz or St. Pölten.
The foyer holds a wooden sculpture of 1973/74 by Albrecht Fürthner, which once decorated the entrance of the town's old indoor pool, opened on 2 February 1974 and demolished in September 1999.
