The Echt-Eisbahn in Wallhausen is a mobile rink of real ice, covering about 800 square metres right next to the Freibad Wallhausen. It is a community initiative of the Förderverein Attraktives Schwimmbad Wallhausen e.V. with Meine Stadt Bad Kreuznach and the HGK, and when it was announced it was billed as the largest ice surface in the region.
The first season began on 20 November 2025 and ran to early February 2026. A Saturday ice disco with music and light effects was part of the plan, and the organisers say the project became reality thanks to the great commitment of the local mayor Christoph Jäckel and the support of regional partners, among them the Verbandsgemeinde Rüdesheim.
For the first season the organisers also announced ice stock shooting, small ice hockey games and a skate-sharpening service, and the rink closes briefly during opening times while the ice is resurfaced.

Season 12 November 2026 to 1 February 2027, day tickets only: € 13 with rental skates and € 10 with your own skates; small children under 120 cm pay € 8.50 with rental skates or € 5.50 with their own, and from 120 cm the regular price applies. A skating aid costs € 5 for 2.5 hours.
