Belgrade's largest indoor rink, open since 1978

Ledena dvorana Pionir opened in 1978 and belongs to the Tašmajdan sports and recreation centre and the Pionir complex. Its operator calls it the largest indoor rink in Belgrade, used for recreation as well as for sport, and says it was built to the world standards for official hockey and figure-skating competitions, which made it the host of international events over many years. Wikipedia adds that it seats 2,000 and was partly renovated in 2001.

Hockey is played on the ice and figure-skating competitions are held there, among them the memorial cup named for Helena Pajović, which is organised every year. The operator also lists an exhibition match played against a team of veterans, and the possibility of keeping the ice through the summer months.

The hall opens to recreational skaters in autumn and winter. The operator states that the skating season begins in early October and lasts until April, and that it runs a skating school alongside public sessions. The timetable and price list on its page still date from October 2025, so check the current grid before you go.
