Berettyóújfalu's Morotva Műjégpálya, open to skaters since 2008 in the Morotva Liget sport and leisure centre
The Morotva Műjégpálya stands in the Morotva Liget Sport and Leisure Centre in Berettyóújfalu and was the first of the park's leisure facilities to be built. It first opened its doors to skaters in 2008, and the rink says it has now been wearing out the ice for 17 years.
Every year the rink has opened the Christmas holidays with a huge skating party. Santa and his Krampuses have visited, witches have taken over the ice at times, and the rink has staged music, light shows, smoke, a giant fir tree and festive atmosphere. The skating ballerinas of the Jégkarc Association once performed a sensational quartet.
The rink also hosts the Ice Hockey Championship, which has become a regular fixture.
