A roofed 1,800-square-metre rink for skating whatever the weather

The Oetker-Eisbahn has been a fixture for skating fans in Bielefeld for many years. Its 1,800 square metres of ice are roofed, so people skate whatever the weather, whether they want a relaxed lap or an active session, and the ice is freshly prepared at regular intervals.

The Bielefelder Bäder, a company of the Stadtwerke Bielefeld group that also runs the city's pools and saunas, operate the rink. On Fridays the Eisdisco brings DJs, music and light to the ice, and a heated strap-on room and aids for small children make the first steps easier for families.

The season usually starts in October and ends in March. On public holidays and in school holidays the offer can be restricted, so it is worth checking the booking portal before a visit.
