Bishkek's city rink, open since 2008, began its public skating season in October 2026
The city rink at Vinogradnaya 1/3 in Bishkek, known as Gorodskoy Katok and now as Nomad Arena, opened in 2008 as a sports and entertainment complex. It describes itself as the only covered facility in Kyrgyzstan whose ice, 30 by 60 metres, meets world standards, and its stands seat 900 spectators.
Public skating, which the rink calls mass skating, can take up to 200 people on the ice at once. The ice is renewed regularly through the day, skates can be hired and sharpened on site, and a cafe serves skaters afterwards.
The rink hosted Asia Challenge Cup hockey tournaments in 2014 and 2016, with teams from Macau, Singapore, India, Qatar and Malaysia, and a figure skating school and a hockey school take children. In October 2026 it announced that the new mass skating season had opened, and its Instagram profile gives opening hours of 10:00 to 22:00.
