A municipal ice hall since 1982

The Eissporthalle Bitburg opened in 1982 and is run by the town as a Regiebetrieb of the Stadt Bitburg. Its ice surface covers 1,800 square metres, and more than 65,000 visitors skate there each year. In 2026 the hall counts 44 years.

Ice hockey has been played in Bitburg for more than 30 years, and the Eifel-Mosel Bären play their home games in this hall. The city's page also lists home games of the Eissportverein Bitburg for hockey and figure skating, and the Eifel-Mosel Eiskunstlauf group welcomes children and teenagers who want to learn figure skating.

For newcomers, the boards that run all the way round give the security needed for the first steps on the ice. Disco Eiskalt is the hall's regular party night, and the RPR 1 tanzt "Family on ice" event is held during the autumn holidays.
