The Ice Palace in Brest on Moskovskaya Street was officially put into service on 30 June 2000 and is the home arena of HC Brest. Its main purpose is ice hockey matches and competitions in figure skating, short track and other ice sports.
The main arena is 60 by 26 metres and seats 1,758 spectators, with VIP places. The hockey rink can be converted into a floor for other games, combat sports, tennis, weightlifting, gymnastics and boxing, or into a stage for concerts.
When there are no sports events, the ice is used for mass skating, and the arena advises skaters to bring a hat and gloves while noting that the schedule may change. The palace also has a sauna, a bar, a gym and sports halls for visitors who want more than the ice.
