A bright 60-by-30-metre hall on the Elbe that draws 50,000 visitors a winter

The Elbe Ice Stadion in Brokdorf is a modern skating hall on the Elbe with a 60-by-30-metre ice surface and an inviting atmosphere for every age, from relaxed laps to first attempts on blades. With its light-flooded architecture, special events and a committed team it draws around 50,000 visitors every winter.

The grandstand seats up to 400 guests at the same time. On Friday evenings on selected dates the hall holds an EIS-Disco for kids from eight and for the young at heart, and the skating school is led by Klaus Barkow, a former figure and roller skater, who gives lessons on seven dates.

School classes and groups have the ice to themselves on weekday mornings during term time. The season runs from early November to mid-March, and the public sessions are closed on Mondays because of the skating school.
