A winter rink on the Festplatz in Burg
Eisbahn Burg is a seasonal rink on the Festplatz in the middle of Burg (Spreewald). In December the square becomes a winter oasis with a 300 square metre rink of real ice, with room for skating, Eisstockschießen or simply getting together, and a heated festival tent serves hot drinks and food every day.
Last winter the rink ran from 28 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, open for a month without a break, with a bigger area for changing and lingering. Weekends bring events: in 2025 these included a Kids-Day on 22 December with free skating for all children up to 16, and a year-end party with the ice disco and DJ Robert on 30 December.
Groups and teams can reserve the ice for Eisstockschießen, which is not a public skating session.
