Eemnesser IJsclub De Vaart: a natural-ice rink with a clubhouse, run for the people of Eemnes
Currently out of season Eemnesser IJsclub De Vaart's natural-ice rink at Stadwijksingel 1 opens only when the ice conditions allow: its opening-hours page lists the hours it aims for (Monday to Friday 13.00 to 17.00 and 19.00 to 22.00, Saturday 12.00 to 17.00 and 19.00 to 22.00, Sunday 12.00 to 17.00), subject to the right ice. The club's latest news, from 26 December 2025, says the rink had frozen over and hoped the cold would last; nothing is posted for the coming winter, and some status pages on the site still carry old dates from earlier winters. No sessions are listed here. Checked 11 October 2026. Official schedule update
Eemnesser IJsclub De Vaart exists to realise a natural-ice rink and to organise activities for skating and ice fun for the people of Eemnes, and also to give skating lessons to young people.
Its house rules ask skaters to go left-handed round the track, to use sleds only in the back labyrinth and to enter the canteen only with skate guards on. The club's news recalls a great skating day that ended when a thaw closed the rink on 12 January 2024.
Schools are welcome free of charge, though the club appreciates it when groups use the clubhouse for a drink, and in the latest news from 26 December 2025 the rink had frozen over and the club hoped the cold would last through the holiday.
