Genoa's Porto Antico rink since 1995, set up under a tent made with Renzo Piano's studio
Currently out of season The rink's site says 'LA NUOVA STAGIONE INVERNALE tornerà il prossimo Novembre' but posts no 2026-27 dates or turns yet (the posted turns, 22 November 2025 to 1 March 2026, are last season's). Official schedule update
The Ice Skating Rink in Genoa's Porto Antico has stood since 1995, in an area that had been going through heavy redevelopment since 1992. Its operators call it the first ice rink on the sea, second only to Sydney.
The rink sits under the tent of Piazza delle Feste, which was integrated with the studio Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The ice measures 18 by 42 metres, 756 square metres, and the rink estimates a maximum of 182 skaters on it, with about 500 seats on the stands for spectators.
Engievents runs the rink. It says a season draws between 12,000 and 16,000 skaters and schedules events for all ages through the winter, and the site announces that the new season returns in November.
