The Gomel Ice Palace was commissioned on 22 May 2000, after construction that began in August 1998. The club's own history calls it one of the most important and most used sports buildings in the city and the home arena of the HC Gomel hockey club.
The main arena seats 2,626 spectators, and a second ice sheet for hockey training was built in 2004. In 2023 the arena was rebuilt with new injury-safe boards and a Canadian-size rink, with repairs to the facade and dressing rooms.
The club posts each week's mass-skating sessions as a news item with exact dates, usually late-evening 45-minute sessions on a few days. The building entrance has ramps and automatic doors for visitors with limited mobility.
