An amphitheatre-style arena with a four-sided scoreboard, and an instructor on the ice for beginners
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The Grodno Ice Palace stands at Kommunalnaya 3a and is run by the state hockey club Neman. Its stands for 2,500 spectators are laid out as an amphitheatre around the ice, and a gallery along the top gives another 500 spectators a good view. A four-sided electronic scoreboard hangs under the dome.
The arena has equipment to transform the ice surface: in six to eight hours it can become a concert hall for up to 4,000 people or a floor for basketball, volleyball, handball and dance competitions. The refrigeration plant in the complex uses equipment from leading German and Finnish makers. The club began as the team KSM Grodno and became Neman Grodno in 1991.
Neman offers the arena to townspeople and guests for mass skating, with skates provided, and an instructor is always present for beginners. Separate tickets are sold for adults and for children under 12.
