Gwangju's 1997 municipal ice hall

Gwangju Indoor Ice Rink opened on 10 April 1997 in Pungam-dong, Seo District, on a site of 9,920 square metres with a building of 4,117 square metres. Its rink measures 30 by 61 metres and the stands hold 500 spectators.

The Gwangju Urban Corporation runs it for speed skating, figure skating and short track, with daily admission for the public alongside monthly lesson memberships. The corporation says it works to improve citizens' health and quality of life.

Public skating starts at 09:00 on weekdays and weekends, with resurfacing breaks printed on the page, and the rink closes on the second Thursday of each month. Helmets are lent free; gloves must be brought or bought. A visit on the ice is limited to two hours.
