Built in 1988 at Gimle, home of Comet hockey and Halden Curling Club

Halden Ishall was built in 1988 on the plot at Blokkveien 39 and is the home rink of Ishockeyklubben Comet. Halden kommune owns it, and it is also the home of Halden Curling Club, since the hall contains a curling lane of its own. In 1990 Norsk Tipping singled it out as one of Norway's finest ice hockey arenas.
The hall is a flexible one: when there is no ice it is used for local events such as dance galas, in-line tournaments and car shows, and football tournaments here have drawn big clubs such as Vålerenga and Brann. Each year Comet runs an ice hockey and skating school and an ice hockey school cup for the schools of the Halden district, and its age-group teams start from age 6 and go up to the seniors.
