A 1968 hall rebuilt in 2025 beside the bus station

The Havířov winter stadium opened in 1968 and now serves as a modernised multi-purpose hall for ice hockey, figure skating and public skating. It stands in Havířov-Podlesí right next to the bus station and is owned by the city, and AZ Havířov plays its home matches there.

In 2025 the hall went through a major reconstruction and now has a new roof, ventilation and distribution systems, which improved comfort for spectators and athletes. After work on the cooling plate, its doors reopened on Monday 28 September 2026, straight into a home match of AZ Havířov, and the operator says the new season on the ice can begin in earnest.

The complex includes facilities for sports clubs, changing rooms and a hostel for training camps or tournaments, and outside the hockey season the hall is also used for badminton and other hall sports.
