A volunteer-built rink open since 1978, roofed and renamed Wikov Aréna in 2004
Construction of the winter stadium in Hronov began in 1976 beneath the Sokol hall, with volunteers working under Ing. Radomír Marek. The first public skating took place at the start of February 1978. The hockey club owned the stadium until 1999, when it passed to the town for financial reasons.
The town rebuilt it in three stages. The first, in 2002, rebuilt the ice surface with new boards and pipework, helped by a state grant of CZK 3.7 million. The second added a steel roof, cladding on both long sides and stands for about 400 spectators; the covered stadium opened on 3 October 2004 and took the name Wikov Aréna. The third stage, finished on 30 August 2013, added galleries and new changing rooms with a clubhouse for the hockey club.
The arena is used all year round, not only as a winter stadium, and NA Rangers Hronov use it as their home arena.
