A Kampen ice club founded in 1889

IJsclub Tot Ons Genoegen (TOG) was founded on 6 November 1889. In April 1890 it got a piece of land on the Broedersingel, leased from the Regents of the Groot-Burgerweeshuis, and the first race was announced a little over half a year later.

In the early years the club rode short-track races. Over time it organised many races on the three rinks where it has been based. One day became a local legend: on 25 February 1981 TOG caused a stir by organising a Dutch short-track championship for men in difficult conditions.

After several moves the rink has lain since 1995 on the edge of the Maten district, at Cellesbroeksweg 1B. At the close of the club's 125th anniversary year, Kampen's mayor presented it with the Royal Medal of Honour on 30 October 2015.
