Opened in 1967 as an outdoor bandy rink; the indoor hall of 2022 holds a bandy pitch and two hockey rinks.
Tingvalla isstadion is an indoor arena in Karlstad and, as the kommun puts it, Sweden's largest ice surface under a roof. The rink opened on 10 November 1967 with a bandy match and skating displays, and the old outdoor arena was replaced by an indoor hall in 2022.
Today the hall holds a full-size bandy pitch and two full-size hockey rinks for bandy, figure skating, sledge hockey, skating, ice hockey and public skating. The big ice surface can also be turned into a 200 m or 400 m skating track. The hall is 191 metres long and 81 metres wide, which equals five full-size hockey rinks, with standing room for 1,500 spectators along the bandy pitch and 300 around the hockey rinks, and lighting fitted for televised matches.
