Khabarovsk's 10,000-seat bandy palace, named for the explorer Yerofey Khabarov

Arena Erofey is the Khabarovsk Krai palace of bandy, a modern sports building with 10,000 spectator seats. Its ice field of artificial ice measures 105 by 65 metres and serves training, bandy matches and mass sports and cultural events. The arena was named for the Siberian and Far Eastern explorer Yerofey Pavlovich Khabarov, in an open internet vote on the regional sports committee site.

It is the fourth covered stadium in Russia to host bandy matches and the second built specially for the sport. The local team SKA-Neftyanik trains and plays its home matches here.

Mass skating is held on weekends and holidays, with some 5,000 visitors a month, and the air in the bowl of the arena is kept at 13 degrees. A climbing wall in the arena is open to everyone.
