A 1969 hall rebuilt several times, home of the Viru Sputnik and Everest hockey clubs
The Kohtla-Järve ice hall on Spordi street was opened in 1969 and has been rebuilt several times since. It is part of the Kohtla-Järve Spordikeskus, and next to it stands the centre's football and athletics stadium.
The hall is the home ice of two hockey clubs, SK Viru Sputnik and HC Everest, as well as figure skating clubs, and it is used for training, competitions and recreational skating. Viru Sputnik returned to the top league for the 2021-22 season, while Everest was founded in 2011, has played in the Meistriliiga, sporadically, since 2013 and took part in the first Baltic Hockey League in 2020.
Besides the clubs, the hall sets aside times for anyone who wants to skate.
