A 2,500-seat arena with a year-round compressor plant and Zamboni-made ice
The Kurgan ice palace appeared in 2001. Builders put up the 2,500-seat building in eight months, and its solemn opening took place on 6 September 2001 under the name Mostovik. In 2010 the palace took the name of Nikolay Vasilyevich Paryshev, and in 2019 a second building was completed.
The building covers 6,183 square metres. Its ice is flooded and cleaned by Zamboni machines, and the palace calls its perfectly even and clear ice its main pride. The ice is melted for the summer period.
The palace is the official home arena of the Zauralye hockey club, a participant of the VHL championship, and of the children's teams of the hockey sports school. Regular mass-skating sessions are held for everyone else.
