Built on a former Philips factory site, opened in 2015

The Elfstedenhal replaced IJshal Leeuwarden, the old 220-metre track, whose coolant was due to be banned from 2015. The old hall closed on 22 March 2015; the new covered track was handed over on 26 September 2015, and on 30 September Jan Blokhuijsen and Irene Schouten won the season's first mass start on it. The hall stands on the site of a former Philips factory.

The 400 m track has carried the name Atje Keulen-Deelstra baan since 30 September 2016. The 30 by 60 m centre ice has soft boards and is used for short track, curling, figure skating and learner skating, and the Blauwe Hal is a separate ice hockey hall where IJshockeyclub Capitals Leeuwarden train and play their home games. TRIAS Shorttrack trains almost daily on an ISU-approved competition rink, and Curling Club Fryslan curls on the centre ice.

Since 2016 the season has closed each March with the Zilveren Bal, a 100 m race for top sprinters. On 12 January 2018 a Wall of Fame of lit portraits of the Elfstedentocht winners, from 1909 to 1997, was unveiled, and the IISkeamer room carries a wall of signatures that includes Wim Weenk, the last man over the finish of the last Elfstedentocht.
