An ice hall grown from a winter tent rink, open since 2018

Der Eisschuppen grew out of a mobile ice rink that its founder, Detlef Damerow, set up in a tent every winter in the Gewerbegebiet am Wasserturm. Since 2018 the ice hall has stood at Grasweg 5. The Damerow family and friends work in the team, and the food-and-drink area is known beyond the district for its warmth.

ESC Kristall Lippstadt trains under the same roof: a senior ice-hockey team in the Bezirksliga, a U11 team in the Landesliga, a hobby team and a figure-skating section. The club brings ice-hockey games and figure-skating shows to the rink, and runs a Lauflernschule for children aged 4 to 9, in courses of eight sessions that end with a badge.

On Fridays the public session turns into an Eisdisco starting at 19:30, and on the first and third Saturday of the month the evening session is a Schlagerlauf.

Admission

Single tickets cost 6,50 € for adults (from 16 years), 5,50 € for children (5 – 15 years) and students, and 4,50 € with a Schwerbehindertenausweis; children up to 4 years are free, and the last hour costs 4 ,- €. Prices are per session (Laufzeit).

Skates & rentals

Skates cost 4 ,- €, sliding shoes 2,50 € and a skating aid 4 ,- €; a valid photo ID is left as a deposit. A locker is 1,- €.

Under-13s are admitted to the Eisdisco only with an adult ("Eintritt für Minderjährige bis einschließlich 12 Jahre nur in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen").
