IJsclub Centrum Lopik: a 380 m natural-ice rink with a hockey field, run by a club of more than 1,000
Currently out of season IJsclub Centrum Lopik's natural-ice rink on the Dorpstraat is closed for now: the club's latest ice news, from 12 January 2026, says the rink had been open briefly that morning but was closed again because the ice was too poor. It adds that the club depends on the weather for opening, so the website and Facebook page should be watched, and that when open the rink runs Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 21:00 and Sunday 12:00 to 17:00. No sessions are listed here. Checked 11 October 2026. Official schedule update
IJsclub Centrum Lopik is the largest association in the municipality of Lopik with more than 1,000 members, and this year the club is 125 years old. An eight-member board and many volunteers maintain the rink, which the club calls the most beautiful natural-ice rink in the region.
The main track is about 380 metres long, and the rink also has an ice hockey field of about 50 by 20 metres. Cars can park free behind the church and reach the rink over a temporary bridge, and there is a stand for bikes at the entrance.
The club's news explains why opening depends on the weather: to get the ice safe and of good quality it must freeze for a longer period, and on 12 January 2026 the rink opened briefly before the ice proved too poor.
