Neftekhim Arena, also known as the Ice Palace, was built in 2005 next to the old ice palace in Nizhnekamsk and was rebuilt in 2015. The ice measures 60 by 26 metres and the stands hold 5,500 spectators.
It is the home arena of Neftekhimik, which plays in the KHL and says it was founded on 23 October 1968, and of Reaktor, Nizhnekamsk's team in the junior MHL. The complex is also one of the city's main concert venues and regularly hosts Russian and international pop stars.
