Oświęcim's MOSiR ice hall, in use since 1964
The MOSiR ice hall in Oświęcim was put into use in 1964 and is run by the town's sport and recreation centre. Before it, Unia's hockey players trained and played their league games on a natural ice rink built in 1958, and the club's hockey section itself dates from 1957. The artificial rink opened in December 1964, and the position of the club's hockey players improved.
The hockey team of Unia Oświęcim plays its matches here, and the hall is also a training base for the figure skating club UKŁF Unia Oświęcim, formerly KS Unia Oświęcim.
The rink is tied to the club's most successful era. From 1990/91, the so-called golden era, Unia reached the Polish championship final for fifteen years in a row until 2004/05 and won it eight times in that span. Unia played without a break in the top division from 1991 to 2008 and has won the Polish title nine times.
