The Pärnu Lastestaadion has a very long history, with lively sport through the years and many changes. The latest change is that the field has been merged into the Pärnu Spordikeskus, which runs it. Just before that, the field got modern floodlighting and a system of refrigeration pipes under the surface with base and cover layers.
That system lets the town lay artificial ice early in suitable weather, so people can skate and play ice hockey on a lit 56 by 25 metre field. The whole stadium area is fenced, and the grounds are meant for whole families to spend time together.
Outside the winter season the grounds are used for basketball on a 33 by 18 metre wooden court, volleyball and street floorball, and there is a 150 metre asphalt running track. The Munamäe family park and a roller-skate park are next door, and the skating season reopens in December 2026.
