A covered 58 by 28 metre rink in Ramenskoye, built under the Moscow Oblast programme
The covered rink named after Vladimir Lutchenko in Ramenskoye, Moscow Oblast, was one of 50 sports and wellness complexes the region agreed in 2013 to build under the governor's "Our Moscow Region" programme. Building started in the summer of 2014 and the official opening took place on 29 December 2015; the first working day, with mass skating, was 4 January 2016.
In October 2015 the rink was named after the double Olympic hockey champion and Ramenskoye native Vladimir Lutchenko. The ice sheet measures 58 by 28 metres, and the building has six changing rooms, two coaches' rooms, six shower rooms, drying rooms and a medical room.
Hockey teams from the surrounding settlements train on the ice, and the sports school based here has more than 200 young hockey and figure-skating pupils. Mass skating has been popular since the first day, with young people, schoolchildren and couples bringing small children. A session admits at most 140 skaters.
