The Eissportzentrum Regen, known locally as the Eishalle Regen, is the public skating venue of the town and the Arberland region. The operator describes public skating as fun for the whole family: the little ones whirl around between their parents, small dancers practise their turns and the fast skaters work on their speed. Its motto for the public session is that having fun is a must, in Bavarian dialect.
The hall has been run since 1 September 2014 by the ARBERLAND Betriebs gGmbH, whose shareholders include the district of Regen and the town. It lies on the B85 between Regen and Rinchnach, and a new bus stop for the on-demand bus is right in front of the stairs to the entrance; on Saturdays the on-demand bus lines can be used to reach the disco session.
A visit is described by the operator as always an experience, whether as an onlooker at the barrier or as an active skater on the ice.
