Roosendaal's December and January ice rink, with a toddler rink, curling and free skating lessons
Currently out of season Roosendaal on Ice opens to the public on 5 December 2026 at 10:00; free skating runs from 5 December to 3 January, with opening hours that vary by day. Official schedule update
Roosendaal on Ice is the ice rink the town of Roosendaal gets in December and January, on the Suikerplein, run by Stichting IJsbaan Roosendaal. Its own house rules describe it as the place where residents, young and old, can skate safely, and every year hundreds of children from local schools and out-of-school care skate there.
The lit rink is the centre of the event, with two large ice floors for 200 and 100 skaters, a separate toddler rink during free-skating hours and a warm IceCafe for a hot chocolate between laps. For some editions now it has also offered free skating lessons in small groups, as long as the skater buys an entry ticket.
Beyond free skating, the rink offers curling lanes, and on weekdays from 7 to 18 December it reserves one-hour blocks for school skating.
