A 1,800 square metre ice hall for the Rostock Piranhas

Eishalle Rostock has an ice surface of 1,800 square metres and room for 1,800 spectators. The Rostock Piranhas of the Oberliga and the Rostocker Freibeuter of the Landesliga Nord play their home games here.

Public skating runs on 125 event days a season, each four to eight hours long and with a DJ. Short-track competitions also come to the hall during the season: the Hanse Cup in early October, the Deutschland Pokal in early November and, in mid-March, the German junior championships together with the Deutschland Cup. On 24 December the Rostock figure-skating club stages its Christmas gala.

The season ends with the 18th Ostseepokal, an international ice-hockey tournament held in mid-April, and a Closing Party on the tournament's last day.
