The Kunsteisbahn of the Panorama Badewelt in St. Johann in Tirol is an artificial ice surface of 1,800 square metres with sound and lighting. The Badewelt describes it as the meeting point for ice hockey matches, double Rittbergers and simple pirouettes, with music playing throughout, and calls it fun for the whole family.
The rink stays open into the evening, when skaters can go round under floodlights. Beginners and experienced skaters alike can try or improve their skating, and the smallest skaters can take their first steps on the ice with the penguin and polar-bear skating aids.
It is part of a leisure complex in the middle of the town: the Badewelt describes an island of relaxation, sport and play on 38,000 square metres, with the ice rink as its winter attraction. Skates are hired on site.
