The Eisbahn on Stralsund's Neuer Markt sits among the fairground rides of the Weihnachtsmarkt.
Currently out of season The Stralsund Christmas market's rink page says the rink is open from 23 November to 22 December 2026 (closed on 24 and 25 December); no sessions are listed before it opens. Official schedule update
The Eisbahn belongs to the Neuer Markt, the part of Stralsund's Weihnachtsmarkt that is given over to rides and fun. Skating goes on in the open air, with Christmas music and festive lights all around the ice.
There is plenty of room for beginners, which makes the rink a good outing for the whole family. Because it sits right in the old town, a visit combines well with a stroll through the market or a trip to one of the nearby museums.
On weekday mornings the ice is exclusive to registered school classes, so most open skating takes place in the afternoons and evenings, and at weekends from late morning. The rink is open from late November until shortly before Christmas.
