A covered 60 by 30 metre hall for hockey and the public
Szeged's Városi Műjégpálya is a covered rink measuring 60 by 30 metres, with a stand for 400 people, and it serves hockey teams, skaters and the public from mid-October to early April. Its ice is a standard 30 by 60 metre surface inside Canadian-type plastic boards with glazing and netting.
Friday evenings are the rink's best-known public night, the Jeges Est, a public skate with an ice-disco mood. About 80,000 visits are counted in a season, and up to 300 skaters can be on the ice at once.
The hall was rebuilt for 300 million forints with the municipality's help: new changing rooms, service rooms and a gym were added, and the lighting and fire-safety equipment were modernised before it reopened to the public in October 2023. The Goodwill Pharma Stilaxx Szeged hockey team and the skating clubs SZKE, Tuti and TiszaSkate are listed as its resident clubs.
