A 61 by 30 metre sheet of Winter Olympic-grade ice that holds 400 skaters at once
Ice Land in the Taipei Arena is described by the arena as the largest ice rink in Taiwan that meets international standards. The sheet measures 61 by 30 metres, holds up to 400 skaters and has seats for 800 spectators, and the arena says its ice has been recognised by officials of the ISU and the Asian Skating Union as Winter Olympic quality.
The rink has international hockey boards, short-track crash pads, a professional ice resurfacer, hockey nets and a protective net, and its air is kept at 12 to 15 degrees Celsius all year. It is split into a figure-skating practice zone, a teaching zone and a beginners' zone.
It has hosted many international and national competitions; in 2026 it listed the national elite figure skating championships in April and a city-cup ice hockey invitational from 4 to 8 October.
