A dome arena that becomes Telfs' covered ice hall in the cold season
The Kuppelarena is the distinctive dome of the SportZentrum Telfs, designed as a venue for large events such as concerts and used as a covered ice hall in the cold season. From October to March it holds an artificial ice surface of 1,800 square metres, used for public skating, ice hockey, figure skating and ice stock sport.
In summer the dome turns into an event location for up to 3,500 people, and trade fairs, markets and festivals also find room there. The tribune and terrace have 500 seats and 3,000 standing places, and the building includes four team dressing rooms with showers, a game-control booth, an announcer's booth, a sound system and a first-aid room.
The municipal fee list carries a separate season card for the Telfs Knights, the local ice hockey club. The same grounds hold a climbing centre, a mini-golf course and a separate year-round ice hall.
