The Eishalle is one of the attractions of the Badezentrum Traun, alongside the indoor pool, the open-air pool and the brine-spray Gradieranlage. Its 1,800 square metres of ice are used by skaters, ice-stock shooters, hockey players and curlers.
The hall was built in 1999. That year the members of the EHC Puckjäger, who had founded the club in 1994 and trained on the Puckinger See in its first years, entered the Upper Austrian hobby league for the town of Traun, which gave the town its first ice hockey club. The club joined the Upper Austrian Verbandsliga in 2008/09. The EHC Ice Ätsch Traun, an amateur ice and inline hockey club for children, youth and adults, also trains here, and the 1. USC Traun gives regular skating courses. A buffet with a warming room serves hot tea between rounds.
