The Sparkasse Trier Ice-Arena is the ice rink of Winterland Trier on the Kornmarkt. A local report from 2013 counts down to the third Sparkassen Ice Arena in Trier, and in 2015 a large skating rink again graced the square. The Sparkasse describes it as a popular meeting place for skating fans, families and party guests for years.
At the 2015 opening, players of the Eifel-Mosel Bären ice hockey team gave a demonstration and figure skaters of the Bitburger Eissportverein finished the opening with pirouettes and jumps. In 2013 the Stadtwerke Trier were premium partner of the Ice Arena and ran a training day for teachers planning a class visit.
For the 2025/26 season a stage was built directly on the ice, tent included, for the first time. The ice is resurfaced at regular intervals while the rink is open.
