A state ice complex in the middle of the Zavolzhsky district of Tver, open since 2009
Orbita is the Tver Oblast state sports ice complex, put into operation in November 2009 in the centre of the Zavolzhsky district, next to the Metallist House of Culture. It has become a favourite place of active leisure for many residents of Tver and the region.
The ice arena measures 56 by 26 metres, with benches for substitutes and officials and 272 seats for spectators. Youth sports schools for figure skating, speed skating, short track and ice hockey train on the all-year rink and hold competitions there, alongside mass skating for visitors.
The complex also has a gym and a 160 square metre hall for choreography and aerobics, and a cafe with a large panoramic window onto the hockey rink is being prepared. The mass-skating season opened in July 2026, and sessions run twice a day with music and light effects.

A mass-skating session of one hour costs RUB 300 for adults and RUB 250 for children under 14; children from large families up to 18 and participants of the military operation skate free on presenting documents.
