IJsclub Uithuizen en omstreken: founded in 1881, moved to the Boukemapark in 2012
Currently out of season IJsclub Uithuizen en omstreken's natural-ice rink on the Boukemapark at Maarweg 87 is closed for now: the club's home page answers 'Is de ijsbaan ook open?' with 'De ijsbaan is vandaag GESLOTEN'. The page gives the hours for when the ice is open (Monday to Friday 13:30 to 17:00 and 19:00 to 21:00, Saturday 13:30 to 21:00, Sunday 13:30 to 17:00). No sessions are listed here. Checked 11 October 2026. Official schedule update
IJsclub Uithuizen en omstreken was founded in 1881 and has had a new place in Uithuizen since 2012. The club moved from the third football pitch, which the football club Noordpool-UFC also used in the summer months, to a ground in the Boukemapark.
Every year the club hopes for good skating weather and a nice flat rink, so that everyone can enjoy skating on its new track. In fine winter weather it invites visitors to its cosy rink in the Boukemapark.
The club is also responsible for the Boterdiep. Its home page answers the question whether the rink is open with a daily status, lists the hours for weekdays, Saturday and Sunday, and asks followers to keep an eye on its Facebook and Instagram pages. Before the season a board member brings the membership card to members' doors.
Admission, rentals and arrival details, researched from official rink information. Source checks stay current for 30 days.
